Armor is divided into two pieces, helmets and chest armor. Each piece has three different weights, robe, light, and heavy. Light armor is in the middle of the different types providing moderate protection and offensiveness. As there are no set bonuses, players are free to equip whatever armor fits their needs. Like other Equipment, armor provides no aesthetic changes to a character. All armor can be crafted, though the iron heavy armors can be purchased from the Blacksmith. Each piece within a tier of armor provide identical stats, with the chest piece typically requiring more reagents craft. When building armor, consider building the helmet piece first to have earlier access to the stats.
Robes[ | ]
Robes favor offensive stats and mana with lower defense. These are great for building a glass-cannon character while requiring to avoid all damage. Robes offer little protection even when upgraded and is not recommended for endgame soloplay unless highly skilled. This type of armor uses Cloth as a base for the majority of recipes.
NOTE*** Statistics listed are the individual stats on each part. Stats are identical; you can calculate the total of the set by multiplying the stat totals by 2.
Light Armor[ | ]
Light armor provides a balance between attack and defense. Light armor will provide more protection and less offensive stats than robes, while providing more offense and less defense than Heavy armor. This armor can be useful if you want this type of balance and more flexibility with equipping accessories. This type of armor uses Leather as a base for the majority of recipes.
NOTE*** Statistics listed are the individual stats on each part. Stats are identical; you can calculate the total of the set by multiplying the stat totals by 2.
Heavy Armor[ | ]
Heavy armor favors defensive stats and health with lower offensive stats. These are great for building a tanky character boosting your survivability. Heavy armor provides poor amounts of mana and physical and spell power. While difficult to craft, the high protection this type of armor provides is a recommended build path for those entering into the endgame biomes as enemies can typically kill you in one or two hits using lighter armor. This type of armor uses Heavy Leather as a base for the majority of recipes.
